warm n toasty June 29, 2010 MarmaladeMan (Cornwall) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this blanket has 4 settings. I have only used 3 and 4. 4 being the hottest.
Having used E/blanks for nearly 20 years, allowing an hour to warm things up is normal.
I never have the blanket on through the night and i live in a 300 year old draughty cob cottage...body heat kicks in after 10 minutes..
I have not used this one through the bleak winter yet, but did in that mental cold snap back in April/May, but will update later.
After 4 months gotta say its nice and switch is easy on hand.
Recommended so far.
Good size & price March 8, 2010 Gratton John Michael (Cyprus) I live in Cyprus and believe me we get some really cold nights in the winter.I had just thrown an electric blanket away and saw this at a good price so decided to buy and try.Very satisfied with price and peformance the blanket is not on all night have a big duvet on,when in uk on the night shift then yes i would have had it on whilst sleeping. But it gets hot enough for me to get in a nice warm bed,i do not want a hot bed and also its a good size and covers a double, when buying look at the size first some are not big enough.
Budget electric blanket March 14, 2010 D. Perry (Midlands, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Extremely speedy delivery by Amazon - well done! Easy to fit - tapes much longer than needed. Stays in place well. Using the highest setting (4 of 4) it takes about 30 minutes to warm the bed to a welcoming heat. Level 1 is sufficient for overnight comfort. Only one controller for the whole double bed - but it is an economy version... Can't say I have noticed the extra heat in the foot area. Mains cable from controller to wall could benefit from being about 2 metres longer so as to reach badly-placed wall sockets!
Morphy Richards Electric Blanket March 6, 2010 Mrs. F. R. J. Charlton (UK) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Was given this as a present and it is probably one of the best presents ever! Beats the old hot water bottle hands down! Just four settings but to be honest, you don't really need any more than that. You can keep it on all night as well - bonus! Tend to put it on about 20 minutes before bed (setting 4) and the bed is really very toasty when I get in. Then if it is a particulary cold night, I leave it on setting 1/2. Would recommend this product.
A very good underblanket March 19, 2010 Algo (Canterbury, UK) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Has proved to be an excellent high quality tie on underblanket. Came with simple instructions and was easy to fit to my standard double double bed just as expected. There are 4 heat settings. The upper two are used to preheat the bed and the lower two settings can be used to keep warm all night whilst asleep.
The only minor gripe is that looking towards the headboard the electical connection and controller is on the left side. If the power socket outlet of the room is on the opposite side then an extension cord may be required. Otherwise this is a 5 star product.
